Darrell Atkinson joined Hosie Rice LLP following his graduation from Stanford Law School in 2011.  While at Stanford, Darrell served as co-editor-in-chief of the Stanford Journal of Law, Science & Policy, and as a teaching and research assistant to Stanford Law School Professors Paul Goldstein and Barbara van Schewick.  His teaching/research assistant work focused on the challenges facing copyright and the copyright industries with the transition to a digital environment.  Darrell spent his 2010 summer with the Silicon Valley office of Covington & Burling LLP.

Prior to commencing law school, Darrell completed a yearlong internship with Deutsche Bank London’s Global Markets Equity division’s business management team through the Mountbatten Internship Prorgamme. 

Darrell graduated from the University of Southern California magna cum laude with a B.S. in biochemistry and a minor in business in 2007.  He also received the designation of Renaissance Scholar on graduation for his interdisciplinary course of study, and was admitted to the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key International honor societies.

Darrell’s practice will focus on intellectual property, patent and complex litigation.
